A new album of music composed by queer composers and/or poets, also a premiere recording of a cycle by Ruth Gipps.
UNVEILED explores themes of hidden love, shame, pride, youth and death. It is produced by Delphian Records and features acclaimed pianist and broadcaster Iain Burnside and the much in demand guitarist, Craig Ogden.
ABOUT ELGAN
Tenor Elgan Llyr Thomas hails from Llandudno, North Wales. He performs a wide variety of repertoire within the operatic canon, specialising in 20th century and contemporary repertoire, as well as enjoying a busy career on the concert platform. Recent engagements includehis debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra as tenor soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at Tanglewood conducted by Ludovic Morlot, François A Quiet Place for the Royal Ballet & Opera and a European Tour with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra as Tom Rakewell The Rake’s Progress conducted by Barbara Hannigan.
Future engagements include his debuts with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic and the Barcelona Symphony and Singapore Symphony Orchestras in concerts conducted by Ryan Bancroft, Ludovic Morlot and Hannu Lintu.
